Higher Rhythm Recording Studio is a not-for-profit facility based in Doncaster providing professional industry-level recording for clients at all levels, and also a range of award-winning training programmes, tasters and accredited courses in music tech & recording / media & radio working in partnership locally, nationally and internationally to deliver accessible development opportunities. Higher Rhythm Recording studio is an initiative of Higher Rhythm Ltd.
Sine FM
Doncaster's first FM licensed community radio station, Sine FM was launched in 2007 and awarded a full FM Community Broadcasting License by OFCOM. Sine FM is an initiative of Higher Rhythm Ltd and was created to provide a platform for creative expression and a distinctive, participatory and accessible community radio service to celebrate the diversity of Doncaster’s inner town wards. Sine also deliver worldwide internet broadcasts, a podcast service for community events, community media training opportunities for local people; and are always keen to develop partnership projects and positive business relationships.
Circuit Records
Circuit Records is an independent record label and is an initiative of Higher Rhythm Ltd. Circuit works continually to stay in front of global industry trends, maximising the impact and reach of artists' work and profiles. Circuit has a global digital presence / sales network, centering through their website and supported by a wide network of industry partners to exploit every possible opportunity that benefits its artists. All music sales are by download, reducing overheads, embracing worldwide distribution opportunities and generating more income for the artist; placing Circuit Records at the forefront of the digital music revolution.
BBC Radio Sheffield
We have partnered up with BBC Sheffield to present, organise and broadcast a series of events across the region. This will result in high profile gigs and new opportunities for local music to get the recognition / airplay it deserves.
Doncaster NDC
Doncaster NDC are sponsors of 'Doncaster Music Week 2009', which as well as helping many local musicians learn how to turn their music into money through a week of seminars, workshops advice sessions and gigs, encourages inward investment by making use of venues in Doncaster town centre and throughout the NDC area. As with previous local music weeks, the number of businesses created and the revenue earned by musicians through airplay as a direct result of Doncaster Music Week makes the investment in this flagship regional music industry event, a sound one (pardon the pun) for the local musical, creative and general economies alike.
Success Doncaster
With support from Success Doncaster we delivered the 'Doncaster Music Week 2008', a weeklong series of events in which resulted in several new music businesses being created as well as helping many local musicians turn their music into money through releases and airplay. We have now added to this investment, delivering events all year round and producing this website as the tool that will provide even more access to exclusive events.
Key Fund Yorkshire
We accessed loan finance through Key Fund Yorkshire to allow us to develop this website and spread the cost to make funding the entire project more manageable.
BBC Raw Talent Introducing
The new music brand of the regional and national BBC, partnering with Higher Rhythm to present live music gigs and showcases which will enable local artists to raise the profile of their music even wider.
